The world has begun a social revolution since more and more countries, particularly among the members of the G7 (American states, Europe, United Kingdom ) have adopted or are in the process of adopting (Canada, American states) laws and trade rules that mandate the recycling of plastic materials by establishing minimum content of recycled material in the design of many plastic products and articles. This is particularly the case for food containers and packaging (beverage bottles, flexible, rigid and semi-rigid packaging) .
However, the laws enacted are not uniform depending on the country, moreover in certain federal countries each state may have its own legislation and its own methods of application.
At the same time, in many countries, including Canada, there are still standards and regulations that limit or even prohibit the use of recycled materials for applications where their use is perfectly legitimate.
